Julia leads and empowers teams through a unique blend of Human Centered Design, brand strategy, and digital community building to shift social paradigms and influence cultures.

At the Nike Foundation she led the strategic and creative development of the Girl Effect, building a movement across a cultural spectrum from the World Economic Forum and Clinton Global Initiative to the Oprah Show to invest in adolescent girls in developing countries to break cyclical poverty. As COO of World Pulse she focused energy on the development of a social media network connecting female leaders of grass-root efforts in 190 countries, helping them to find their voice, and training them as citizen journalists for social inclusion. She began her career at Wieden + Kennedy leading multi-disciplinary global teams as they created award winning advertising campaigns. Julia has been recognized as one of ’25 Portlanders who are Changing the World.’ She enjoys globetrotting and rocking out at family discos.
