A designer and entrepreneur, Danny is passionate about lending his talents to improve the world.

He co-founded Who Gives a Crap, an Australian toilet paper company that donates 50% of profits to build toilets for those in need. To date, WGAC has provided sanitation access for about 120,000 people. Prior to Who Gives a Crap, Danny was a Senior Designer at IDEO.org, where he led interdisciplinary teams on design projects in Africa and Asia, with a focus on sanitation and reproductive health. He’s also worked at Method Home and Catapult Design, co-founded three businesses and has a particular fondness for New York pizza.

When I first started working with Danny I knew next-to-nothing about design thinking. But I had the great chance to work with him in the field in Zambia and was magically initiated into the world of human-centered design. I was amazed by his energy, passion, design talent and drive. He led our team through several fast-paced days of rough prototyping. He was as comfortable talking to young women and men about sexual health in a youth center as talking strategy with a donor over dinner. Danny brings his authentic self and curiosity to his work. And he’s so much fun to work with.
